You should do a "how God came out from nothing"

@ Anonymous: God has always been, He is and will always be; and deep down inside you know it too, so stop faking it. Talk to Him and He will answer you.

As an atheist, I have never stated (that 'everything was created from nothing'.

So why do you insist that this is the 'atheist' position?

I would never be so presumptuous (or propagandist) to suggest that (for instance) stoning women was the 'theist's perspective' on pre-marital sex, or that 'In the beginning there was nothing except for the ice of Niflheim' is the theist's perspective on Creation.

So would it be considerate for you to offer me (and other atheists)the same courtesy?

Or is generalizing and propaganda somehow more highly prized by you than common courtesy and honesty?

I look forward to your answer.

Regards,

Raoul

PS, neither do I believe that 'everything was created by nothing'. I have no beliefs regarding 'creation' as I know of no analogous examples in nature that shows such a thing. It is a presumption to suspect that there was ever a 'beginning'.

The law of conservation shows that matter/energy can be neither created or destroyed, so it seems to me that the Jainists are more in line with my guess ( I don't say 'belief', as I have no knowledge of any ultimate 'origins' so would be lying if I said I 'believed' what you tell people that I believe (everything was 'created' from nothing').

Why would I lie about my beliefs when you seem quite happy to be lying on my behalf?

I'm very glad you have never stated that. Maybe you are not an atheist after all then. Maybe you are just still trying to figure it all out. An atheist believes that there is no "deity"
(a force/creator of the universe).

If you do not believe there was a force.. then there was nothing. Nothing was forced. Therefore, you believe nothing created everything. Maybe you're an agnostic. Someone who just isn't sure how it all happened. Yet, believes it was a force of some kind. You just refuse to call it God.

You're taking ideas from Terry Burton? How about one of a Navy ship being teleported? Or, if you dare, a sketch of what it looks like inside of Terry Burton's head?

I don't know Terry Burton. I have only seen him post on Ray's site. I really don't know the guy. Sorry.

I do have a different friend, Terri though. No relation between them at all.
