Wedding Caricature Gig
Well, I know it feels like a century since I posted artwork.. so out of the blue.. I figured I'd try to catch up on some things I've done.
This was just a gig I did for a wedding earlier in the year. Though I wasn't able to take enough photos of the work I did mainly because I was the only artist.. and there was a heck of a line to get done. lol.
This couple (below) didn't get on my list to get a caricature in time.. so they emailed me & they were able to get one via-email.

Mel Johnson - Casting Director
I got an order from an old boss of mine from "Universal Studios" when I used to work as a "Casting Assistant" back in 1995! A total blast from the past! I feel very old now. lol. He wanted to get a 'Realistic' digital black & white caricature - something different! :)
Here's his website: www.meljohnsoncasting.com/
Princess Priscilla
Here's a Caricature I did for my little niece, "Priscilla Joyce". She's ultra adorable! She loves pink & her birthday that's coming up is a "Cinderella theme" this year. She's a total girly-girl!

Wellington Village - Caricature Gig
Here's a few pics I thought I'd share from a gig I drew at 2 days ago. Sadly, I was only able to take a few pictures of my work due to the HIGH demand of people that were there. The Line I had of people wanting to get drawn was so giant. But at least I was able to take a few.
(Above Pic): This was the sign for the event.
(Above Pic): And a 'Surfin Kid'
(Above Pic): Here were two 'Basketball Pros' on the same. I thought the kid on the
right was so funny. I love how his eyes dissappeared when he smiled.

(Above Pic): Yaay, that's me - Sketch Artist in blue. Of course the place paid me..
but it was free for the people walking around. :)

Things 1,2 & 3
Well, this family decided to have a themed birthday of Dr.Suess. Here's a caricature I drew up for their very cute triplets. I had several photos to choose from.. but the ones I generally used as a source are the ones you see below on the Caricature. This one was a lot of fun. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed drawing it. :)

Some Quick Caricatures - All Freehand
Lately all of my work I've been doing.. behind the scenes for the series of books I've been working on.. has mostly been all with the Wacom Tablet. But considering I've been having technical difficulties.. (until I get a new one) I've been loosening up my hand again drawing lots of caricatures. I nearly forgot how wonderful it was to do! It feels GREAT to pick up the marker again & draw on some real live paper! I love it! It's even nicer to draw a different image every 7-10 minutes rather then drawing & editing the exact same book page for much longer then what any person would want to be working on them for. :) So it's been quite a relaxing week of caricaturing. I'm loving it.. and missing it.

This guy really reminded me of "Quentin Tarantino" doesn't he? So crazy! He HAS to be related or something!

Coloring was so fun too. I enjoyed coloring these guys using Photoshop. Yes, my Wacom Tablet is not working.. so it was a bit frustrating to color these at the beginning. But hey! I got through it okay, thank the Lord! ;D

Celebrity Doorhanger
Old artwork I know!
But....
Here's a brand new tract that can be hung anywhere, but works especially well on doorknobs. It's printed on water-resistant light-weight card, that makes it perfect for sharing with your whole neighborhood. As a bonus, it is perforated just below the black clapperboard, so that you can tear off the "hole" portion and give it away as a standard tract. See it at Livingwaters.com
TRY AND ??GUESS?? WHO THEY ARE!!!!!
Half of these are Paul Clarkson's brilliance. Two next to eachother at the top mine, 2nd set his, 3rd mine, 4th his. lol.

Lar's Training PT 1.
This is Lar (the one who is speaking in the vidoe below).. This is just an old digital painting I did of him that I did a long time ago on my website. Lar was my very 1st digital subject! I'm posting it here so you know who's in the video. :D
Watch as Lar demonstrates how to draw retail-style caricatures for beginning artists. There are more of these videos online. :) Enjoy!
