For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul?

Today 150,000 people died,
including two very well-known celebrities.
May this remind us that we all have an appointment to keep.

May it also help us to forget that which doesn't matter,
and get right with God while we still have time.

A friend of a friend wrote this: "Life is truly a vapor. I was just last night making a short list of celebrities that died in 2009 after the death of Ed McMahon. May we all consider our eternity and whether we have peace with God. Ricardo Montalban(Jan 14), Paul Harvey(Feb 28), Natasha Richardson(Mar 18), Bea Arthur(Apr 25), Dom Deluise(May 4), David Carradine(Jun 3), Ed McMahon(Jun23), Farrah Fawcett(Jun 25), Michael Jackson(Jun 25)"

"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world,
and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange
for his soul?"
(Matthew 16:26)
:0(

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
(Romans 3:23)

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
(Revelation 21:8)

Beautifully put, Esly.

I was too shocked to hear about Michael Jackson's death. His moves will be missed terribly. ony a couple of minutes afte that, I heard about Farrah's death. The struggle and hope that she had will be memorable.

I don't know much about Farrah Fawcett, but I've watched documentaries about her with my mom before.

We will miss them both, and they will be remembered as if they never left.

Still loving your art very much.

Thanks Sarah. Yeah.. I'm not too familiar with Farrah Fawcett either.. Michael I'm more familiar with obviously. My husband said Farrah was really only on that Charlie's Angels show for a short time.. so not that many ppl.. especially from these generations know about her too much. lol.

I was actually surprised that all those other ppl. died this year. I don't know all of them.. but some I do. But yeah.... It's just life is so short!!! :P
