Angelina

I enjoyed drawing this little girl. She is sooo adorable! She has such a great smile. Very photogenic! Sweet as can be! I sketched her on paper.. (but I'm out of artsupplies until all my things get in from shipment.) So I drew over it in "painter", then colored it in "photoshop". Thank God for digital tools.. You can get a natural look and have no mess to clean up in the end. :)

Logan, the sky angel cowboy.

This is such a sweet video. I had to post it on here.

We have had a lot of requests to replay the phone call that Pastor Mike shared during our church service on Sunday, Nov. 11th, 2007. Here you'll find the video clip that was created just for you. We've placed the video on YouTube so that you can watch it and share with family and friends. Logan is a 13 year-old boy who lives on a ranch in a very small town in Nebraska. Logan listens to Christian Radio station 89.3FM KSBJ which broadcasts from Houston, TX. Logan called the radio station distraught because he had to take down a calf . His words have wisdom beyond his years. Since airing the audio of the phone call and now the making of the video clip, it has taken on a life of its own. People are forwarding it all over the world. We encourage you to share the love of Christ with anyone you can. (**Sky Angel is a family safe broadcasting service that is offered on satellite. KSBJ is a local Houston Christian music radio station. Video clip produced with love by Frank Lozano. Hear the entire message at ValenicaHills.com)

Logo for Mel's Entertainment.

This is a logo sketch I did for Mel's Entertainment out in L.A. It was a lot of fun working on it.. despite me being sick for the last part of it. I caught a throat infection of some sort. It's really bad! It's lasted for nearly two weeks already! But I'm starting to feel a little better now.

It went through a couple of changes as you can see. But I'm content & happy with the finished look.

Alishia

This is an old friend of mine from back in the day when I was in my young teens. She found me over on my myspace a while back. And she seems to have a liking for that comic/manga type look. So I thought I'd try something new & different & draw her. I sketched her on paper first.. than cleaned it up in photoshop.. and this is what came about! :)

Drawing for Church

This is a drawing I did for a flyer at my church, "The Church of the Living Word". They're doing a special movie documentry of a guy named, "Bill Wiese". I have a link of his testimony on my myspace blog. It's called, "23 Minutes in Hell". It's really mind-blowing. Here's the link.. Esly's Blog on MySpace

David & Esly Stampek

I've ruined the surprise. oh well.
Yes..
This is my "Thank You" card drawing for all of those that attended my wedding. :)
I appreciated everyone's attendance & I miss everyone of you! *sniffle* you will be remembered always!

It was fun to draw. All of it was done in pencil & no computer help this time.

Here's a little of Australia

Me absolutely FREEZING in Australia. It is COLD here down south/down under! (Remember everything is opposite!)
"Some COCKATOOS" There are so many of these things here. They look like part rooster with that funny yellow thing on their head.
"A MEERKAT" Looks like a cross between a dog and a mongoose. But looks nothin' like a Cat. Don't know why they call it that. He looks so scared!
"KANGAROOS"

DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD... (YIKES!)

Yes.. I now have to take what I've learned my whole life (as in.. on the road) and do the complete OPPOSITE!

Got Married, moved 2 Australia

Okay.. I'll do an update.. for those of you who don't know.
During the 2nd of March, I've went and got married to David Stampek (an Aussie), went on a honeymoon to Hawaii for 2 1/2 weeks, and then moved to Australia 1/2 way across the world down under (about 21 hours on plane)and I'm now in the future on your clock if you live in the U.S.

Since I've been in Australia. I haven't really posted any photos at all. I know some of you may be wondering about it. Well, I haven't yet seen too much, because I have to get an international driver's license, therefore, David is my Chauffeur. He's also working 6 days a week.. so it ain't easy! We will be able to see more soon. But were still paying off many many many many things!

Here's us married in case you were not there.. (we got married in Florida) If you were not invited it's either because I don't know you, I ran out of money, It would have been awkward if you were there OR because your name dissapeared in the mess of other names & addresses and I was TOTALLY distracted and overwhelmed! (so, I'm very, very sorry & I really wished you could've been there!) :^(

Here's me and my sweet little brother Ruben.

Cool dress right???

CHEEEEZ!!!

I'm thinking there may be a lot of photos.. so I'll just separate these next few posts.

Birthday Sketch 4 Barbie!!!

Well, here's a sketch I drew for Barbie. Done in Pencil. It's weird After ALLLL this time.. 5-6 years or more.. I don't think I've ever drawn her. She's the one doing all the hard work behind the scenes for Keelan. (my boss at Disney)
Now that I'm down-under in Australia.. I have to keep sharpening up my skills 4 when I visit. Working at Disney was a whole lot of fun & it really keeps you on your toes with a job like that. Your never have to warm-up because your constantly drawing.. not to mention drawing FAST! (well drawing fast, at least most of the time.) :^)

Sketchbook - Cartoon Lion

Well, here's a before & after shot I drew of a Lion. Animals can be fun to draw. I figured I'd color it in Photoshop. I think it looks better now.

Sketchbook - Figure Studies

I don't think learning the names of everything is necessary, but.. it may come in handy someday so it's good to learn.

It's always nice to go back and do figure studies. It reminds you of what's underneath the skin.. when you're in the zone of simplifying your drawings all the time. I just think it's great to do both.

Cute Doggy

I'll be posting my sketchbook drawings more often. I was inspired in drawing a dog because I was watching the "Dog Wisperer" on television. Good show if you wanna learn how to train your dog. I don't have one just yet. But I will eventually.

I drew it in my sketchbook then scanned it in and colored in in Photoshop. I used the generic Brush tool for the color & shadows, then I used the gradient tool for the lighting.

Ella McCoy

Here's the birthday drawing of little girl, "Ella" from the family I spoke about below. She's only 3 yrs. old now. I basically took the same drawing of her and just photoshoped a new background so maybe she could use it for her bedroom or something. Little girls Love pink!!

The McCoy Family

This is Jeff McCoy, His wife Sandy & daughter Ella. This guy was a former christian & police officer who was killed 2 weeks ago. Right before he passed away.. he had seen some of my recent work & asked me if I could draw up his daughter for her birthday. I told him yes.. and somewhere inbetween all of that.. he passed away before I could get the drawing over to him.

I was thankfully able to find a close friend of his so he could get this drawing over to his family. It's really sad. His last request for a gift to his daughter was my drawing! I was honored to draw him & his family eihther way.

His life showed his dedicated passion for God & out of anything else in his life he wasn't afraid of showing what he believed. He went out of his way to get the truth of the gospel out to people... and in reality THAT'S MORE courageous than being a police officer. He amazingly was able to do both.. be a policeman & a witness for Christ. :O)

As for the drawing... The photos I had available of him weren't that great. They were a little blurry. I still don't think the likeness is all that great... but oh well, it's all I could do. I like the drawing of the little girl & the wife the best.

Chrissy Lopez

This is Eric's Mother, Chrissy. She's the sweetest.. and she LOVES her children & grandchildren. :o) Anyways, I wanted to do a cute one for her. So this is how it ended up.

Jackie Santiago Lembree

Hi guys.
This is a childhood friend of mine that I grew up with. She came to my wedding and sang some BEAUTIFUL songs. She was always into singing at our church. She never lost her talent either. She now does Real Estate. So I thought I'd give her this as a gift. It was all done digitally in "Corel Painter".

Security Logo

This is something I drew for Endeavour Security Services here in Australia. It had to be a sort of a serious simplified black & white logo. I guess I'm happy with it.
